Re: Laser eyes

No doubt I will see the small print after the op.
I have told the boss's that I expect them to pay at least half as it's their fault my eyes are getting worse from, sitting at a computer screen for 10 hours a day without a break and having to look at their ugly faces, Lets see Pebbles, 2.5 years, no dinner breaks, unpaid overtime, putting up with tantrums, sorting out the staff, multi tasking, working from home, never had one day off sick, cooking on saturdays for staff and customers. Bloody hell they should be paying for the lot including the flights, hotel beer and meals.

Re: Laser eyes

I had mine done a couple of years ago and never looked back........... or forward for that matter

Seriously - money well spent.

I used to need varifocals - now just cheap reading glasses.

You won't regret it.

Re: Laser eyes

Job done and what a difference, only 2 days on and close up vision s crystal clear.
If you wear specs to ride, go for it.
No pain, all it took was 45 seconds on my left eye and 35 on the right eye.
walked out on my own 20 minutes after having it done looking cool in shades,
following day had another eye test and had 20 20 vision.
I have been told that some of the clarity will go on the close up but my long distance will get even better in about 2 weeks.
Drove the car for the first time in years without specs and noticed having a full field of vision is a lot safer, only needing a quick glance in the side mirrors instead of having to focus the centre of the glasses and at junctions just another quick glance told me it was OK to go.
They came good on the price as well, everything done (including having the eyes polished) for only £1995.00 and all interest free over 2 years, didn't even have to pay a deposit.
They also gave me some £500 off vouchers if anyone is interested

Re: Laser eyes

Nice one Blenk, glad it all went well...might I ask how old you are? - i've heard that it is less effective once you get to 50+

Re: Laser eyes

Vision is even better than I expected. i have been told the long distance will get even better than it is now and I may lose a bit of the near quality, but at this moment in time I can read very small print without glasses, now that would have been impossible 3 days ago

Re: Laser eyes

Had mine done 7 years ago. Still looking good....he he he...

The biggest difference I found whilst out on the bike was that I no longer have glasses that steam up in the fog & rain...

Re: Laser eyes

Looking forward to riding without specs, especially now the cold weather has arrived

I forgot to say in the last post

I am 55 in 10 days from now (23 inside my head)

Well another day without specs, still sleeping with plastic disks to protect the peepers whilst I sleep, near vision is still crisp and distance is getting better day by day.

Drove the car in the dark last night (a lot slower than usual) not sure if the screen wants cleaning on the inside, but down pitch black and very narrow lanes (and I mean pitch black, no light pollution over here) when cars are coming towards you, either with main beam or twats that keep their front fog lights on (they are fitted so they will use them) the lights seem to have a halo around them (I was told about the halo effect and that it will clear up) it is a bit off putting when the road is just wide enough for 2 normal cars to pass each other, the dash board is very clear but long distance is hard to describe, not blurred as I see shapes and colours clear, but not as sharp as I want, still with both eyes focused the same judging distance is very good.

I am being very good and keeping up the eye drops, not touching the eyes, wearing the eye covers at night just as the doctor said so I hope all will carry on improving.

I am looking at everything with new eyes and find myself looking at shapes, colours and words all around just to see how clear they are at different distances.

I love having new eyes.

If you don't have to wear glasses, look after them eyes, you don't know how lucky you are.
