| HOGGIN it in Ireland well i thought you should all know i had a great time. Rally was decidely average but the scenery was excellent. did a couple of long rides around the ring of Kerry (would like to meet her though) and a bit further south the name of which escapes me. The roads were certainly interesting and we did a bit of Goat trekking over the mountains. Bands were Suzi Quatro who i heard was quite good, Roy Wood, Quite good, a few cover bands, The Commitments who were good. And Bonnie Tyler, i'll stop there. Beer (no Stella though) and accomodation although of a good quality was expensive unless you booked direct with the tourist board. Everyone got a nice White T-Shirt (YES WHITE) the locals were all very friendly. Met quite a few from the Riders club including a Forester (Mark i think), Graham from Wyvern, Steve Marples and Co from Region 11. All in all a good few days away and excellent weather. Sorry Baz no photo's though. So i can recommend going to Ireland for a ride around. HOG rally well you pays your money and you take your choice. There were 10,000 tickets which were sold out at £50 per head members and £65 non members, although a lady from the tourist board reckoned there were about 15k HD's in Ireland for the weekend. mmm half a million quid would put on a very serious rally. Sadly a couple of Polish guys were killed in a head on smash on their way home by a drunken joyrider which always takes the shine off these things but yes i would do it again but only somewhere i really wanted to go and maybe not pay the rally fee just be somewhere local to it. Rally Report over.

Nice one Mark, looks like we are going to miss you by a week We're off to Ireland in the morning for the lesser HDC event, which I'm sure will be equal to the Hog event
