Bedford Area Help Needed: HarleySoundNeededForMovie

Hi - I'm a Freelance Sound Editor working on a movie (directed by the guy who did Tango and Cash in the 80's!). I'm after the sound of the meatiest sounding bike I can find and figured this would be a good place to start. If anyone feels they have the bike for the job or could direct me to a better place to post this thread that would be greatly appreciated. The recording would involve meeting me at Millbrook prooving ground where I will attach mics to the bike (they're about the size of a pea) and you'll have to then peg it round the various tracks they have - its a great place and not open to the public (Millbrook - Test & Development Solutions). I'm doing this off my own back because I'd love to get the sound of the Harley but I'll obviously cover any costs for the day

Good Luck in your search Big. I'd be no help, as I'm in the States, but I'm sure there's someone here with the right sounding scoot for you.

btw... I loved Tango and Cash... a nice movie to just let your brain sit on the shelf, and watch some action. That, and a very young Terri Hatcher in a black catsuit! Nice!

just watched the you tube clip - great footage. Yeah the wind noise is tricky but I should be able to get around it with the particular mics and they're placement. Would be great if you're up for doing the recording

Well being a retired fireman on a limited pension and travelling ALL the way to Bedford and back from Watford (100miles).

You would have to tempt me with an o££$hore bank depo$it, make up girls, personal trainer, specialist food wagon and of course the Winnebago.

So can you let my agent know please if your up for it?

Looking at getting 2 or 3 bikes down to Millbrook to record so if anyone else is up for it? (recording for each bike should take about 45mins and looking to try and do it towards the back end of next week)
