Re: Region 13 at the RTTW

Wow!! I thought it was awesome! All those people waving to us and cheering on the way to the arboretum, brought a tear to my eye!

Thanks guys, that's the longest ever group ride I've ever done and I loved it but it was harder then expected to keep up all the time but what a hoot!

I was really amazed what kind people you are to allow two such DIRTY bikes to ride with us!

Let's hope next saturday is such good weather for the Black Bear do!!

Re: Region 13 at the RTTW

That was an awesome day.............

A great ride up - and I'm glad we left when we did - plenty of time for a breakfast bap and a cuppa while meeting others as they arrived.

A first for me being welcomed like that on the ride through town... People waving, cheering, holding up 'welcome' and 'well done' signs... I've never seen so many turning out to join in a biker parade.

A very moving ceremony, as expected, and finished off with a Spitfire beating up the field

And all in glorious sunshine once we got through that 8am mist

Good to have Ian riding up with us but we lost you in the crowds at the Memorial - I hope you found your way back OK and Kev from Woburn Sands with your son on the back - hope you both enjoyed the day and we'll see more of you

I must add thanks to all who joined us to support this very worthwhile cause but particularly Ulysses and all the others who were responsible for the 'Hostility Tent' - a welcome place to grab a cuppa and meet up with friends old and new.

Well done to all - a truly magnificent day!!

Re: Region 13 at the RTTW

What a great day! Thanks Kev and all the others for making us feel so welcome.

This was the first time I have ridden with HDRCGB after joining a couple of moths ago and it was great, a thoroughly nice bunch of people with not a hint of clique. Even my "I'm not interested in anything" 14 year old son enjoyed the day and hopefully took away something positive about human nature. I hope to see you all again soon.
