Thanks guys, just got back from the Triple and read your suggestions.

Have already tried plugging it into a pc as a second drive but to no avail. Will try the Bart and see what happens.

It only goes to show how important it is to back up data. This disc held all the Coasters music files however I managed to load up enough music for the Triple ( no apologies for playing Nessan Dorma --- to prove that someone was listening) . We now have an large external drive to back up our data (stable door syndrome).

Will let you know outcome later, thanks again.

Before I download anything is Bart PE the same, have'nt found Bart XP yet (a bit slow after excess enjoyment over the weekend)

now i was going to say that but si beat me to it same thing when my hdd when chipos,swapped it over to a slave drive moved me stuff,formated it then it worked ok after as slave and still works,hmmmmmm hdd are funny things sometimes,i use it as a storage drive now for gifs etc non valuble stuff so if it does give up ghost i wont lose anything as have 3 other drives to play with
