New email address

Can anyone explain to me how I can add a new email address to Outlook Express.
My ISP is NTL and I have my normal email address with them, my daughter wants to get her own address now and I wondered how I can add this to Outlook. I would want them to be totally separate so that when I check mine....I don't get hers appearing along with my messages. Also how would we switch from one to the other depending on who starts the computer up first to check their messages.

first off are you using outlook express, or full blown outlook. also what operating system, XP, 98, ME?

why not set up a Hotmail e-mail account up for her, free and easy?

, and she doesnt need to go near outlook express, because , and i may be wrong about this as i often am, you cant set up different accounts on outlook express securely.

if i am wrong let me know, cos my lads have hotmail accounts , and it would be nice to get it all on one program

I am with NTL as well and use OE. Setup an email address with NTL in what ever names she want to use.
Start OE, click on file, identities then add identity. Fill in the email settinf is POP SMTP all given to you by NTL.

You can put pass words on these identities so that other people in the family do do 'look'

All done, you can easily switch between identities and she can log on while abroad on holiday, as wyou can as well.

I think you get about 10 email addresses with NTL

All of the above correct, alternativley, if your running XP, you could have more than one log on, this keeps emails, programs and other things private, If you have an admin account set on XP, then you can still log into the other users to check things/Fix things.

just goto contol panel and create a new user, give it Administation rights, and enable fast user switching, this enables you to log off, keep all your programs running, and other users can log in and work without effecting your session

Also if you do this with XP, if they screw uo their profile you can log in and delete the user account and create a new one. which saves the need for rebuilding the PC
