Club logo

Is it possible to have the club winged logo as the icon for my desktop shortcut? They appear automatically for most other sites.

Trevor if you want you can have the riders site come on as soon as you turn on Internet Explorer or whatever other browser you use. Just go to 'Internet Properties' and have it as your home page. Just copy and paste the address in as shown in picture below.

Re: Club logo

......here goes:
1) save the Club Logo out as an icon
2) in your "favourites" list create a short-cut from any URL
3) drag the new short-cut to desk top and rename it.
4) go to short-cut icon - properties - then cut and paste "http://www.harley-davidson-hangout.com/index.php" in place of the original URL.
5) still in properties, go to "change" Icon - and "browse to wherever you put the Club Logo Icon you created. And that's it.

This might sound long winded but it took me 50 seconds to do from start to finish. Or 1 minute 50 seconds if you want to include working out how to do it. There’s probably a quicker way, but I can’t be arsed to find it.

Re: Club logo

.......I've found an easier way for IE users: right click on the the Club short-cut in favourites - go properties/change icon - hit browse and browse to wherever you put your saved Club Logo icon. I can't get this method to work on Firefox, but my original reply will work with both Firefox and IE.

Re: Club logo

......I was asked how to create a HDRCGB icon and where to put it: there are loads of Shareware programmes to convert pictures to Icons, but the easy way to do it is like this:
1) Using a paint programme; Windows Paint will do if you're a skinflint. Import your HDRCGB picture into the paint programme.
2) Resize it.
3) save it as, say, “hdrcgb.ico” into whatever folder you want; for example: "My pictures"
4) right click on your shortcut - go to properties - change icon – browse – go to “My pictures” – click on hdrcgb.ico – then click “Apply” and that’s it. The important bit is the file extension *.ico – just change *.jpg or *.bmp et al, for *.ico

Re: Club logo

Mark thick or what?

Saved my club logo as an icon in my pictures resized no propbs. When I go to change icon it comes up with this message? The saved logo is a 8.72KB icon.
It then offers me a list in system 32?
