Unwanted Hotbar Adware

Im no genious with computers and only have basic knowledge.I have recently aquired a problem that I cant seem to get rid of so would be grateful for any help given
I placed some bike parts adverts online in my local Friday Ads, a free magazine for adverts.I have since got desktop icons that i did not have before and if I delete them the next time I open the BT log on page (not yet online) to go on the net they are there again.
I have Zone Alarm, AVG Free edition, AVG Anti-Spyware and Ad-Adware SE Personal which I use to scan the files and they show up the files as a Adware - Hotbar which I delete but it keeps coming back?

Clear all uneccessary stuff from your computer before you shut down next time: particularly temporary files and cookies.

Re: Unwanted Hotbar Adware

If the worst comes to the worst, probably the easiest way to eradicate it is by doing a system restore to the day before you had the problem (you wont lose any information you have saved since).

Re: Unwanted Hotbar Adware

From the start bar click-.Programs (at the top somewhere)>System tools(down the bottom somewhere)>System Restore (near the bottom).
It's pretty foolproof, just follow the instructions, make shore you set it for the day before you had problems to make shore. It may take a fair while to complete (could be more than half an hour).- so be patient.
It is fully reversible and you will lose no saved data.

You could contact your local paper and stick flea in their ear as well.

click the start button bottom left desktop, click run, type in MSCONFIG then hit enter. On the startup tab scroll down to find offending app and untick it. That will stop it loading you should then be able to delete it. It may ask you to reatart or you can leave it till you shut down next

Re: Unwanted Hotbar Adware

Tried system restore but pc wont let me do it
Tried re-configuring the page but no luck
It seems to launch itself when I click on the web start up page.
I have run several times my AVG anti spyware but after it says all actions "deleted" I can run the scan again and they are still there as though the spyware is not working which it is
Thanks for the ideas guys but I think I have gone as far as my peanut brain will allow
