So ran the scan...and it didnt report any virusy type things detected.

HTF can a scam have the power to take control of your 'puter and turf you off the internet....and "Ransome ware" ? how do they get money outta ye? soon as they asked for dough it would've been obvious it wasnt a message from Microsoft..

Tell you what tho' if i ever run into any hackers or whatever the fck they call themselves..I'll punch some information into them........ and a fkn mega byte out of their fn nose

I don't know this particular one but these fake 'scans' are fairly common. The 'payment' element comes from the fact that they usually ask for a subscription, of course if you pay you never hear anything from them.
