Oddball goes for a ride!

As Oddball glided in and parked at the Hayle bike meet something was missing, it didnt register at first in fact it only registered when I shouted a greeting and he hissed back with clenched teeth "Sssssh the bike cut out as I came in and I've a feeling that it wont start" yes it was the unique "potato-potato sound that Harleys tend to make when they are running that was missing! after a play around with the leads and a quick check of the wiring we decided that a spark was absent and Oddball was last seen on the phone to girlie name insurance breakdown whilst trying to hide from the stare of a couple of hundred bikers!
Needless to say I rode home alone

Re: Oddball goes for a ride!

I've just seen a photo of Oddball's bike on the recovery truck on another forum.... I don't think he was very successful in trying to hide lol !!

Re: Oddball goes for a ride!

Thanks Essjay,
I did admit to it on the KHR forum,
but I appreciate you making it national news!
Have not had chance to look at it yet, will do tonight.

And wheres the photo to?
Which forum?
Is there a link?

For those who have not seen it here is my confession:

Ok.
Essjay, (with a twinkle in his eye, and a grin on his face) promised not to post this,
so I thought I had better do it myself before he does.
Went to Hayle last night, for the weekly bike meet at Mc.D's.
Lovely ride down, pulled off the A30, car park looked packed, loads of bikes there, went round the mini roundabout, pulled up level with the entrance to survey for a parking space, pulled across the road.......
pfffft!
Bike went dead!
Coasted into the carpark!
No tools with me!
Despite the valiant efforts of Essjay and myself (thanks Essjay), it was a no go-er!
Not an inkling of a spark.
Had to get a recovery lorry home!
