This Sunday is the annual VMCC run from Bodmin Wenford railway station to Lands End and we usually help out with the marshalling which entails leaving behind the last riders and helping any who break down etc, to date we have not ever been needed! as they usually sort it out themselves, so if you fancy a leisurely ride down to Lands End meet at Bodmin Wenford railway station (the steam train station in Bodmin) at 8.30-9am or if you dont want to get up early we will be stopping at Portreath for a pasty & a pint! (12-1ish)

At 8am Jake & I were scoffing bacon & egg baps at AKs house then it was down to the station where we met up with Vinnie & Fran. We watched the vintage boys depart then left behind them, when we got to Newquay we went to Vinnies for a cuppa then returned to the trail of the vintage crew. All ok up till Portreath where we stopped for a pasty & a pint, again watched the VMCC depart then followed (we were now joined by Colin on his sporty) one of the VMCC had a puncture right on a bad bend and hit the hedge, plenty of helpers so no need for us so we carried on until we saw a couple of Douglas's by the side of the road, one with his chain off we gave him a hand to get it back on and adjusted it then proceeded to follow them to Lands End just in case! on arrival at Land End we were treated to a cuppa and a free mug by the Cornwall branch of the VMCC, a nice day out with good company and only a little rain in Bodmin so where were the rest of you lightweights? dont forget it's the Devon rally next weekend, be there or be square
