Jan's BBQ 8th August

It’s coming up to that time of year again! Jan’s BBQ, work is well underway putting in a swimming pool ( had the digger in sorting out a heat supply ) hopefully it’ll be up and running by the 8th. Emptying the barn just in case the weathers the same as last year but hey we are optimistic. As usual there is free camping if you require for the weekend, Calstock bike show is on for those wish to visit (only a couple of miles away for those who have not been to Jan’s before). For those of you wishing to come for the first time Jan’s is just off the A390 Callington to Gunnislake road. I will be signposted from Thursday evening. If more info is needed call Jan on 07870574885.
Every one is welcome just remember to bring your own drink the BBQ is as usual free.

From Callington follow the A390 Tavistock road. You will need to take the 3rd turning on the left (the 1st being just down the hill from the roundabout, 2nd is to Kit Hill and the 3rd should be signed HDBBQ to the B3257). Once on the B3257 take the first right, again take the 3rd on the left which is a fork in the road down to the left. Follow it down the hill to another fork in the road. If you go left it’s the first gate on the right and if you go right it’s the first gate on the left.


Alternatively from the A30 at Fivelanes take the B3257 follow it to the A388 turn right into Kelly Bray. DJust past the Swingle Tree pub on the left ( right ! I was thinking about it going the other way) it is left as you enter the village take the second left back onto the B3257. Follow the road almost to the end and on the right is the sign to Hingstondown quarry. As above 3rd left and down the hill.
