Big Bear Choppers?

Not sure if I should publish this here or in Virtual Rally but thought I'd start here!

Anyone seen the latest Big Bear design - the Athena

Personally I think it's pretty cool for something you could buy in a box and assemble yourself

Also comes in a "pro-street" version:

Starting price for the kits is $12K - Obviously you'd have to spend some serious additional money on the paint to look like these two "show" bikes but still pretty impressive

Surely £2.59 isnt serious money for a proper paint job! - http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...oppingukmar-21

Re: Big Bear Choppers?

I'm not really in to long , wide ass, high tank kit bikes that all look the same. But respects to Big Bear unlike a lot of their competition, who fit cheaper Korean components, they use quality, S&S motors, & Baker transmissions, & all for roughly the same price.

my personal feeling is that this style is about to date (if it has not done so already) faster than a penny-farthing. Just my unwanted 2p

Not keen on the front end of the blue one, but the red version is a cracker.
Beautiful wheels, but oh what a soaking you'd get with the cutaway rear mudguard

Re: Big Bear Choppers?

I know the chop has been going for so so long now and they would be a nightmare to ride but have always hankered on building one.
Saw this a couple of years back and sort of grew on me
