Number plates

Can anyone give some info on custom number plates. I have found loads of custom plate sites but nothing that will fit the plate frame. Plate size 7" x4" or i might have to get a 7" x 5" and do a little mod myself.

steve at SHD stoke gets them done si,around a tenner to £15 quid and size

Honestly Silverfox!!!!!!!

They are 'SHOW PLATES ONLY' for off road when you have your bike in a show.
Of course the original plate goes back on when leaving to go home!

According to the press there is a wave of 'common sense policing' in place now, so small plate will only be an issue if they cant be read from 20.5m. If they are clear enough for this no probs, if they aren't your taking the piss anyway!

7x5 had always been my 'favourite size' - small enough to look neat, large enough not to bait the poice.

It is difficult for enforcement agencies to differentiate between the individual who wishes to make a fashion statement or enhance the appearance of their machine from one who is deliberately attempting to avoid detection for criminal purposes.

It is with this rationale that it has been decided not to focus on the technicalities of the size of the plate or font size to comply with current legislation, but to apply a simple test of legibility, based upon the standard eyesight test for riders and drivers
