well what a mess I made of that.

Wanted to lower the bars on my 883R so bought some flat drag bars,
had them powdercoated black.

looked great except...


when I tried to fit them I had a few problems.

1. the bars didn't have them little indents to allow the wiring and casing to clamp on properly..soon fixed that wif a big hammer

2. once the controls where clamped on, I found that they couldn't clear the tank on a tank-slapper..lucky no damage done.


3. I couldn't get the poxy brakes lines to move inboard as they have a metal casing that wont bend.


so back to normal bars again.

not to be beat, I went and ordered some braided brakes lines and DOT5 fluid.

have now got them and will have to order the H-D bars off a 1200R 'cos theiy are lower than mine but higher than drags..

so now you know....
