| Stripdown Starts
I've been boring people on another forum with these pics so I thought I subject you lot to a glimpse of my winter project ![]() I've started stripping down the Wide Glide, hopefully I'lll be able to post more pics as things progress, assuming that I get it done and the bike doesn't end up festering in the garage for years to come ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Still it gives me something to do ![]() Cheers, Rob.

Thanks for the replies all. Quote:
![]() As to why I'm doing it. I was thinking the paint needed a bit of a refresh, and I was planning to put some apes on it and it needs new exhausts and a different carb and Postie convinced me that as I was going to all that trouble I may as well take the engine out and get the frame powder coated etc, etc. Plus I want to renew some of the wiring loom and give the engine a check over. I probably won't do much to the lump as it runs ok and hasn't done that many miles but I'll get the covers off and have a poke inside. I may also upgrade the clutch if I have any cash left. Also I need to get a new seat because I'm fed up with Mr Bursledon comparing it to a Chesterfield Sofa The man has no style ![]() Cheers, Rob.
