Re: bsa project

It's looking very nice.

Is the engine / gearbox a bolt together job from a plunger framed bike?

Re: bsa project

its a 1952 a7 plunger hardtailed and i will post pics when pipes are fitted and as chill knows (as he has helped me with the build) the front wheel is temporary.

hopefully it will be a fun b road hack, if my poor old back will stand it...

Ah! Thought so.

I had a Gold Flash plunger chop which was a pig to ride because I knew nothing of rake and trail.

Those bolts I was referring to were Whitworth and the threads were stripped in the crankcase on mine. Put equivalent size UNC in which kind of tightened things up a bit but still dumped oil everywhere. (hence Oilslick) Long time ago now so I might be a bit wrong on the thread types.

No Triumph yet Chilly. Too expensive. I'll stick with H-D I reckon.

Re: bsa project

pipes are being ceramic coated by Camcoat. here is pic of them at mock up stage before the back of the hacksaw was applied to the frame oh and they are parallel on the finished bike
