Rideout from North Essex

Hi Guys

New to the forum, was wondering if anybody from North Essex (Saffron Walden) Area is doing the Ace Cafe to Southend run on 9th April.
Would be good to meet up before hand.

Hi Mark,

Welcome to the forum and the club.

Ordinarily, I would be going down to Southend on the 9th but I will be away on holiday sunning myself

I'm sure there will be a few from the Essex region going down there, so your best bet would be to turn up at our next region meet which is next Wednesday evening (4th April) at The Wheatsheaf, Castle Hedingham. Not too far from you!

There are a few members from Thaxted and SW areas, so you should be able to hook up with them for a ride-out.

Hi Mark,

had a blat up to saffron walden on saturday, but the town was shut!!

All the roads into the square blocked off with firemen

still, good run up there (30 miles) and even better time back once i'd got to know the roads. 70+ on some bits,, loverly sweeping corners of 60/65, not many loonies (except me )

I shall be going to Southend direct from Witham on the Easter Monday, may see you there._

A few of us local members will be riding down. We always hang out at the eastern end of the main drag, on pavement by the Foresters Pub. Look out for us.....a couple of baggers, I'll be on dark grey shovel Low Rider.

Baz, yep Image is the large pub (still known as the Ship), Foresters is the small service road next to it, easier to pull in. Don't look for usual landmarks....Taz's shovel won't be there as front end is out at the mo, and my "trusty" panhead won't be there either....I'll be on one of those new-fangled shovelheads!
