 Re: POKER RUN 2008 - 25th ANNIVERSARY To all coming to the Poker Run, take a look here for the tide times as this may effect your journey times... Tide Tables | Mersea Island Community Website The single causeway which connects Mersea Island to the mainland is called The Strood and measures around half a mile long. In times of high tides, The Strood is covered with sea water and becomes unpassable for around an hour. Looks like no problems for the weekend of the Poker Run but best to be informed.... Steve.

 Re: POKER RUN 2008 - 25th ANNIVERSARY Hi Essex-boys & girls, very sorry but I can't make it to the 25th Anniversary Poker Run this year, coz my father is very ill for the moment and he needs all our assistance and attention. But we will send over some of our best party-friends ( Chris & Carina, Clement & Lucie, Jean-Pierre & Diane, Frans & the one and only ... Willy ) to celebrate with you all. These Free Wheeling Kempen guys & dolls will stay in one of the cabins that we've reserved with Jon last year and I do hope that they don't disturb other people with their nightly snoring ... Wishing you all a great party & see you somewhere on the road or at Mersea Island in 2009 ! Best wishes to your father. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Preparations are almost complete now for the 25th Poker Run....the site hasn't suffered too much from the recent rain (never really been too many problems with drainage there). Early forecasts for the weekend are showing some rain on Friday and possible showers for the Saturday...temperatures not too bad also. Line up for the bands as follows: Friday night - Mallard followed by FUBAR Saturday night - Medicine Hat followed by Poachers See you there...

But the good news is our President Andre (t Centrum)and another 5 people are coming to the Essex poker run. | Re: POKER RUN 2008 - 25th ANNIVERSARY Planning on coming down for the Saturday & Sunday bit and I don't want to pack much - they still have the permanently sited tents there? I wouldn't have to worry about the tent then as it's only me, just a sleeping bag required if I can sneak into one of the tents I saw last time.
