Sorry only you and the missus were there mate you haven't had much luck with meets have you I just looked back at your past posts this one from last year.

I have been to a few meets when the turn out has been great. Just a little unpredictable and any hint of rain does seem to put people of. However i am up for a ride if i cam make it. next few weekends out as working days or nights. I'll PM u when i'm about. That ok?

If i was to make a comment HDRCGB is more a rally based organisation. Gonna give Essex HOG a try. Have regular meets not too far away from me. Not renewing membership so prob one of my last posts.

One last thing. A lot of whinging goes on on this site about the Mo Co. Without the MoCo building bikes what the F would you ride? Can't have it both ways. Also went to a hog meet last week. No different from riders club meet apart from better turn out. And it rained. Have learned a fair bit here but always someone to quote black when someone writes white. The whole committee thing was a joke. Average harley rider is gettin older. The club will not survive without younger blood. Harleys are totally different form ten, twenty, thirty, forty years ago. Next ten years all harleys will be water-cooled. Wake up and smell the coffee. it's 2007

Re: 2nd sunday of the month

I've been in Southend for nearly 12 months now - moved down from NW last summer. I don't get too many weekends to myself, maybe one a month, but it would be nice if a few more turned out occasionally when I do arrive at a meeting point. Met Scorch and his white sportster last year but very little else except the tumbleweed blowing across the county.
Not sure where Skorch is based, but he said he was thinking of meeting some of E. London lads & girls.
I'm free for a rideout this coming Sunday (20th) if anyone wants to suggest a route and lead the way. I'll meet anyone anywhere

Re: 2nd sunday of the month

Hiya Bish, yeah my ride's a V-Rod. I love it too, the only 'Rod in Essex by all accounts - apart from trhe odd one turning up at Biffo's Bikes in Southend occasionally. Wonderful machine.
Its a shame our shift patterns don't match up. I work Mon - Friday 9.00 till I finish. Weekends rarely free though as I see my Lancashire Lass whenever we get the chance. This weekend is a freebee for me, so I'm sure I'll find somewhere to go if not someone to go with, lol.

Can you suggest some place of interest I could ride to enjoying the roads and ride from Southend - distance is no problem? Otherwise I'm back to Hanningfield Res or Clacton and back.
