Biker friendly pub - Old Harlow

Hi All
I am new to the site, and am impressed with the volume of useful posts.

I live in Old Harlow, Essex and regularly drink in the Crown on Market Street image. Details.

Over the years the pub has always been biker friendly, but we now have a handful of Harley riders that go there, me being one. We were wondering about having a Harley evening - like at the Ace, but on a smaller scale! Would anyone be up for it? The landlady, Barb, is keen and asked if I would do some investigating.

A few years ago the pub sponsored local bike shows and there were MAG meetings held there, but that has died off, we would like to try to get something going again.

There is plenty of parking for bikes out front, or in the carpark opposite. There is a beer garden and covered smoking area, so plenty of space.

Bikers are always welcome, the food is good and cheap, the beer is around £2.70 a pint. Friday nights is live music, but Barb would be willing to get something organised for another night if there were enough people coming.

It would be great to get a regular Harley night going, so let me know if you are interested - reply to this thread, or send me an email.

Hi and welcome to the forum ,i used to live that way in Hainault ,brought up in south woodford then moved to Woodford Bridge stayed for a few months in Buckhirst Hill been to Harlow on many a ride out ,Now live in North Devon Regards Bob

I suppose north devon is a bit too far to come over for a beer, but if you are ever in the area drop in.

I remember them well Dave - I won the Landlord's Choice for my Blue Sportster and still have the prize!



I believe the bike shows were organised by the local MAG Group and somehow always seemed to coincide with the pub's Annual Beer Festival!

Steve & I live just down the road so would be pleased to join any Harley nights. We can actually walk to the pub but I guess that defeats the object!

Me, Martin and Brian would love to see some more Harley riders joining us - the image of the bike show has my chums BMW, but not mine, I was riding a Ducati back then.

The more the merrier.
