Ride to Oswestry - 22nd

I'm riding up from Southend to meet some from the Anglia region for a ride over to Oswestry for the International rally on Friday 22nd (see Anglia section entry by Foby). We're meeting at Peterborough services on A1M at 2.00pm. If anyone fancies joining me to ride up to Peterborough leave a message or PM and we'll arrange to hook up somewhere along the way.

I shall be going up on Saturday and will hopefully arrive around 15.00 to enable me to put up the tent before the rain starts at approx 17.00..

I am not sure where to pitch the tent at the moment, as last year I was near the trees on the left, but it did look soggy so I may head for higher ground..

well done for the reply skorch! ...as you are probably aware, the majority of members in the essex region don't use this website or the internet for that matter....as a region we seem to be a bit more 'old skool', or should that be traditional, in that we usually get together for club nights/meets where things like this tend to get arranged....we have also been known to use the phone on occasion!!!!!

my point is - don't expect to get a massive response from other 16'ers when posting on this site as you'll be waiting a while ....but do get yourself down to the MAIN regional meets (1st and 3rd Wednesday evening of every month) where you can meet your fellow region members and find out what's going on and where....contrary to popular belief, we are actually quite a friendly bunch that do get up to quite a lot over the summer - rallies, ride-outs, parties, etc.

as for me, i'm currently sat in my office in colchester thoroughly pi**ed off at the fact that i will be missing yet another rally this year due to one thing or another....hence the reason for not responding to the thread originally!

Cheers lads, thanks for the replies. Steve, I soon became aware that not so many of the good folk of Essex use the website but thought if those of us who do look in don't actually use it then people won't see its potential when they do take a peek
