A new idea about club meetings

This is just an idea and you can shoot me down anytime but.........


since the both Sunday official meet venues are not used anymore..

how about WE come to YOU...

the though is somebody suggest a meet at their local and anybody who wants too, gets there.

That way,
the person suggesting is on "home turf" and will feel happy and the visitors will have to introduce themselves to the local suggester.(hope this makes sense)

Now the next meet is an evening meet on Wednesday 15th October @ The Anchor in Statford St Mary (just off the A12 north of Colchester) Good food available, so keep that meet as it is.

The next is due on Sunday 26th October in Lamarsh and is poorly attended so that is a prime chance to get your suggestion in for a meet near you.

The one after that is on Wednesday 5th November in Sible Hedingham, which I expect most people will miss due to Guy Fawkes night parties.

Moving on the next would be on Sunday 8th November in Dunmow, which I know nobody goes to anymore, so another chance for YOUR suggestion for a meet.

This is YOUR chance to get to meet the rest of the regional members.


One problem is that most members do not use this website, but I AM hoping that Steve the moderator is still in the loop of the other members and can feedback any opinions from them.

Well......what do you think???

I like the idea Skorch, and certainly think it should be trialed into the new year then see if anywhere emerges as a popular venue we could patronise regularly. Good one. Think the idea should be explained in the 'quin for those who don't come on-line though

Thanks for the replies guys, I thought the members in the south of the area needed a meeting place, but didn't know where.

I think both Rod and SF are around sarfend, while Bish is near Chelmsford and I am in Witham.

Well that makes 4

I will attend the meet at Stratford tonight and get some feed back from those present.

To late to put something in the 'quin for before Xmas, and its not an efficient way to communicate about new meets until they are well formed.

I many have to get a "mobile" phone to bring myself into the new age!!!
