Looking for old friends from the late 1980's My name is Don and I'm an American who was based at RAF Bentwaters from 1984 to 1988 I had a Blue 85 Sportster and was a member of the Anglia region and then Essex region when it was first established. I helped with the poker runs in 86 and 87. Those were really good days and fun times. Seeing the flyer for the 26th annual poker run brought back a lot of memories.

You sound like 1 of the guys I remember from Essex 'old' days.

Did you do the infamous '85 Paris super rally run from Bentwaters / Woodbridge?

If I have the right guy I think you were from the South? (the Carolina's or Virginia's?) and hung out with Big Dave, Magnum and Bill?

Boris, good to hear from you and I think I know who you are. Yes, I went to Paris. What a trip that was. I remember the whole group going down the same road in Belgium 3 times before we finally stopped for directions. Were you on that trip? What were you riding? I only hung around the group you named for a short time. After I split with my ex-wife I spent all my spare time in Colchester. I really miss those days. take care.
