| Evo Dyna won't rev
Afternoon all, my 94 evo Dyna ticks fine but dies when I open the throttle. First happened whilst I was giving it some on a sunny Sunday afternoon, pulled out to overtake a car, wound it back, initially took off great but then all power went and I had to limp home on 2000 revs (at most). Starts fine, idles fine but any suggestion of a right hand and it dies back. Any suggestions?Cheers in hopeful anticipation Bill |

Sounds like a split diaphragm in the carb to me......

When you say ''all power went'' what exactly do you mean?? A lot of backfiring and spluttering and banging? Total shutdown of the motor, lights, etc....? Make sure a nut is not loose on any circuit breaker, and battery connections are TIGHT. (Just trying to cover the electrical/vibration angles too) If you are now going to tell us that the bike is getting hard to start in the garage, that's a new ball game....

Also check the filler cap, just whip it off. Sometimes the vent gets blocked causing a vacuum in the tank.

Top of the class Foxster, big chunk of what looks like gasket sealant stuck in the main..runs fine now that's not there, although burnt my knee on the exhaust putting the air cleaner cover back on :-)Cheers for the advice fellas.
