Question

OK I would like to ask all techi-buffs IS any Softail model 84-99 "stock" running a 1 1/2" 70 tooth pulley on the right hand side? in the UK or USA. I am not sure on this but I'm having a dispute with a well known after market catalogue over directional issue & the telling factor for me is the pulley. As far as I know they are only mounted left hand side. Could somebody please enlighten me before I get up on me orange-box & shoot my gob off

Re: Question

Driveline on all Evo and TC softails is on the left from the factory. If it's on the right then it has an aftermarket RSD transmission fitted (normally with a huge rear wheel too!)

Re: Question

Thanks alot Phil I knew I was right, but also, I know I won't win my case with the ferkers I have spent hours trying to get them to listen to my case but they just won't admit that they have srewed up!!! By using a cheaper manufacturer (China) nowt new there then!! They have gone & made the directional rotors in reverse in 2007 & have discontinued previous rotors that where correct up until 2006 I now have wheels & pulley (the clincher) that match but rotors that travel in the opposite direction
I could sit here & type all night till my fingers bleed explaining this problem & even ways of trying to get around it, but the crux of the matter is you Can't!!! These rotors are said to fit BT's & Sportsters 84-99 BUT they don't even sell the Rear Left any more!!! the rear left is no longer available in 2007!!! SO it looks like both models are srewed when it comes to matching rotors to their WORLD FAMOUS wheel modular system.

Re: Question

Come on then, name names.

I think I know who you mean. I don't normally get involved with problems with parts bought direct from the states (for obvious reasons) but if it is one of the distributors we deal with I could ask for help on your behalf.
