Grandeur Auto Clutch on Evo Primo Brut 1V primary.

Has anybody out there had experience or used a Grandeur Auto Clutch in any H-D.-
Grandeur Auto Clutch to suit Primo Brute IV on eBay, also Harley Davidson, Bike Parts, Motorcycle Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats (end time 22-Apr-08 0331 BST)
Im running a suicide clutch and jockey shift on my lightly tuned Evo motor with a Primo 3" Brut i4 open primary,- but using the shift around London can prove a little hairy at times.
From what I've read the Grandeur Auto Clutch gives virtually auto "twist and go" clutch operation at low revs,- but does it?

You running a mousetrap mechanism Kev ?? At least with one of these you can put your left foot on the floor at a standstill.
Handy when the bike starts to go over and the ferkers in gear .

Vince it's running a 5 speed evo box with the shifter bolted directly to the shifter arm, and a a cable operated foot clutch (instead of the gear change peddle).

I have played with the idea of of converting a pan toe and heal clutch setup, but heard about these auto clutches.

If they work like the company say I'll go & buy one tomorrow, just trying to find out how well they operate in practice before I lay out cash.
Here's a Youtube video of it working,- impressive.

Looks pretty impresive, never heard or seen one before. As you say Kev its nice to know of anyones experiences with one before you splash the cash, although at £350 it seems quite reasonable for what it is . Go for it dude.

kev ,that looks a crackin bit of gear, could be the answer to a lot of peoples problems, go for it m8,ive a good m8, up here who is a double emputee arm and leg, even though he would still have to run with a combo, he could well do with of them, take quite a lot of the hassle away for him,

I have never come across that clutch before, but import stuff from the USA quite often. From recent experience UK Customs charges will total around 25% of the total cost ex-USA (including shipping costs). This will be made up of import duty, VAT and a collection fee from the UK shippers.

It is common for us to be charged pounds for dollars from a UK supplier, which makes buying direct from the USA look attractive. For a heavy item like a clutch the shipping costs may be fairly high, which could close the gap a little. Add that 25% to get an idea of the final cost. Also be aware that some US dealers refuse to deal with foreign customers, while others welcome us with open arms.

If the prices get fairly close, consider if any warranty provided by the UK supplier is worth the extra. I have just bought an S&S engine here in the UK rather than importing it, for that very reason. I could have saved a bit, but get a lot of peace of mind!

Graham.

Re: Grandeur Auto Clutch on Evo Primo Brut 1V primary.

G.R.B.- From what I cam make out its a pretty simple bit of kit, I'll check it's OK in the shop and remove it from it's box and bring it back smeared with engine oil as " used M/C part's. (and send the boxes back by mail just in case).- Just searching for a supplier West Coast near to a direct flight airport.

If I could buy at anywhere near the price (£275) in the UK I would, but buy time I modify grind and polish to what I want the warranty will be f**ked anyway.

In the day of £250 Florida UK flights,- I may as well cash in on a couple of days drunk in the US free at the expense of H.M.C.E. & pick up some extra bits while I'm at it.
