oil filter lines

i've just realised i've fitted the oil lines to my filter the wrong way round.. i just noticed this tonight ,after i'd been out on it i was giving it a check over for anything working loose (not long finished building it)and checked the oil line clips.

Q: would this have caused any excess wear, i removed the front rocker top cover and although it was wet with oil inside there wasn't the usual puddles in there.....no horror stories please i'm easy upset..lol
the engine has done around 28000miles and is a standard evo 1340.

cheers

michael.

Re: oil filter lines

Might bw best to change the filter as oil would have been passing the wrong way through it. 'IF' anything was filtered out in your small ride changing the lines over may flush it out into the system.

For the sake of a new filter and all that

One line goes into the filter, and the other line comes out.
The pressure relief valve will not operate, which could lead to oil leaking from the feed pipe, or could damage the oil pump could even lead to the sump filling up.
I assume you mean the pressure relief valve inside the filter. This is only there incase the filter medium becomes blocked and so allows the oil to bypass the filtering and continue to flow.
Fitting the oil lines the wrong way around will make no difference to the level of lubrication reaching the engine, UNLESS the filter became blocked (very unusual).
Just swap the lines around and change the filter.
