Yeah, you will need to convert to floorboards.

V-Twin offer the easiest solution in your case.......even if a lot of their stuff is ripped off from Fab Kevin......

Re: Hand Change on an Evo Softail anyone?

Bit of an update, moved the levers etc around the bars a bit to change the angle my wrist/thumb are working and it has made an incredible difference. If I'm careful I can pull the clutch in almost pain free, so I think I'll be trying one of those kits that make the clutch operation lighter before I think any more about the foot clutch option.

thanks for the advice and info anyway fellas.

Cheers
Wayne

Good luck with that Wayne, when you re-adjust your clutch you will need to cut the freeplay to the minimum on lever and central adjuster to avoid slipping /dragging problems. Its a bit of a juggling act, but worth it. Made a big difference to mine.

Re: Hand Change on an Evo Softail anyone?

That's good news Wayne. I just came across this thread, but you might want to add the possibility of a centrifugal clutch to your list of possibles.

I have no idea how good they are, but whatever you change will have to involve some level of compromise. Here's one for starters.

I have similar but not yet as serious issues and did look at a few options. One I came across was a combined hand and foot clutch (I think it's quite common) so you could use the foot most of the time, but the hand lever for a smooth take-off. Can't find any details on it now tho'....
