Slip On v Full Exhaust

So like you all know i am new to this forum so i appolgise in advance if this question has come up many times before!.. Basically i am gradually buying bits and bobs ready for my bike. So fare i picked up a PCV for 160quid (bargin). and a K&N filter.

Next i want a new pipes but do i go full exhaust (pricey) or just some slip ons? Which is best both for performance and sound.

PLEASE HELP!! Thanks guys

Depends how loud you like it and whether you are wringing the last HP out of it.

Often a good 2-1 system outperforms a pair of slip-ons but its just so dependent on which ones you go for that its not worth worrying about.

Get whatever looks good and sounds nice to you (except V&H Short Shots, which are very loud and perform worse than stock on the dyno).

Personally, I don't think you'd notice the difference in performance. If you are only interested in the look, Short Shots look great. It should be noted that you can get "Quiet Baffles" for V&H pipes, but they make the note lower, not necessarily quieter.

You can also get V&H slip ons and Screaming Eagle. People say drag pipes perform badly too, but I had Khromewerks drag pipes for a while, then Paughco and they seemed alright to me.

Depends what you like the look of. They come up on ebay now and again or you can buy them from indies.

I've been trying to find a place to pick up some slip ons but can't seem to find any where. I do like Short shots but they are pricey!

Just to complicate the issue convert the cost into petrol and think how far you could go on your bike.

Read this.
Always good to read something from people whose business isn't selling exhausts...
