V&H Shortshots

Just ordered some V&H shotshots from Cruiser Ecosse, 10% discount for club members which was good (thanks postie for the tip) but wont be available for shipping until mid April they've had a bit of a run on them of late and the shipment due in next week are all already sold, mind you I supose that leaves plenty of time for the WD40 to soak into the current pipes to help getting them off!

Yes be very careful. I broke 1 of the studs at the front on mine and had a right game getting it out, but you should be ok with plenty of penetrating oil.

Best of luck with them.

Re: V&H Shortshots

hi

the kiz one was actually mine it was myself and kiz that were taking the exhaust off when the really tight one snapped. We had to drill and tap it in the end, but it's done now and the new exhausts are very sexy!!!!!!!

Just take it easy when you do it, if you get a tight one and you can fit another nut on then try and lock them together and undo the inner one. It may bring the stud out. Use plenty of penetrating fluid and leave it to soak.

Re: V&H Shortshots

When i removed my exhaust nuts i replaced them with Acorn nuts. I know they wont stop the heat but they will stop road debris getting cooked into the threads and stop corrosion.

I have had call to take them off since and it was easy

Telboy has got these on his Nighttrain
and they are F*cking Loud
I dont like riding behind him
they are painfully distressing and your neighbours may not be pleased.
