| Newbie with Stage 1 question...
Hi Folks, I had the dealer do a stage 1 for me on my 05 1200r, complete with new SE air filter. Am I likely (or definitely) going to need the breather kit? Heard some horror stories about oil spraying from the air box ?? Thanks Midlife |

| Re: Newbie with Stage 1 question... No, the SE air filter kit redirects the breathers directly into the mouth of the carburettor. The pre '04 Evolution Engines had the problem. |

I've run mine like that, with the pipes exiting into a small plastic bottle, for the past six years with no problem at all. I also found that the bottle collected very little oil. Probably more to do with EU rules than anything else. Alan B |
