Re: bobber

(on the late shift!)

It just reinforces my personal belief that struts are a horrible halfway house. that bike would look perfect and finished in a hardtail or even softail frame.

the look is getting a little cliched now but nice to see it on a Sportster.

A 1989 4SPD Evo Sporty with seven previous owners? **IF** I liked the look I'd bid 2,900pounds tops. It's easy to argue to prices on those are at rock bottom when the superior 1992-up 5spd belt drive models are fetching peanuts owing to the 2004 upgrade.

And that will be hard to sell as it is so individual. or to look at it another way, the guy has done 90% of the work for you - it just needs the right frame

Re: bobber

I think Dave is being overly generous, £2500 tops

its a 4 speed and you can pick up tidy 5 speeds for £3 -£3 1/2 k

struts are the worst of both worlds, don't look as nice as a rigid and don't ride as well as suspension
