DIY 2into1 883R

I've rejetted the carb and put on the SE air cleaner....
I've aslo now got some battered but bargain SE turnout mufflers on Ebay, complete with downpipes and cross-over.
Trouble is, I like the curves of the stock 2into1 downpipes. Is it possible to combine the stock downpipes and just use one of the SE mufflers - will it fit and more to the point any idea how it will sound or perform ?

Apologies if this is a dumb question - I am not up in the physics of how exhaust gasses work !

Grateful for any ideas

Chris

only way to find out is to try! if the muffler comes off the pipes, and the diameter and mounting points are the same then i dont see why it wouldnt work.
someone will probably give you much better advice though!

In theory you can put what you like on the exhaust, but remember the carb exhaust system is balanced if you alter one side you have to compensate the other. Doing something different is great but you will have to experiement to get the carburation correct to suit your set up.
