| Sportster front wheel size
Hi All! Anyone know what is the smallest front wheel size I can put in 92 Sporty? I want to fit wide glides and I think it would look a little strange with a large skinny wheel in front. I dont want to alter the rear wheel, would a fatter front wheel of the original size look better? if so what width can I go up to? |

| Re: Sportster front wheel size
I changed a 19" front on a 95 fxd with aftermarket wide glides to a 16" from a flh. There was a bit of trouble with the disc spacer which I had to have made. The trouble was getting longer disc studs as I was only getting about 2/12 turns on the thread. You cannot use ordinary ones as the disc studs are a stronger type of steel. Try and get a good wideglide kit that will take the size hub you are going to use. you can usually pick up a decent wheel cheap at swop meets so get that first.
