| wishing away!
i went over to northants vtwin to get a few parts yesterday and came away with the worst thing i ever could, the zodiac and cci catalogues!!! if i won the lottery i would be in heaven. zodiac stock a s&s sportster engine in 100C.I.!!!! it just drops straight in! only thing is it costs £6000!!! but what fun could be had with that! also they do a 1370 big bore kit that im thinking of, as im due to get mine bored soon. it says that the barrels have to have big bore liners and the cases have to be bored for these to fit, but how big and expensive a job is it? loads of goodies and i would suggest to anyone out there who wants to keep there bank manager happy to not get these books!!!!! dan |

I thought Bank Managers liked making money on loans You mean we're not doing them any favours with meeting their end-of-year bonus targets and all that?

| Re: wishing away!
thanks for the info, but what i really want to know is what is involved in the case work and what sort of cost is involved. if its a bloody fortune i'll just stick with the 1200 or maybe the 1250. cheers dan |

You could email NRHS and ask them, by all accounts they're very helpful. I would suspect that, like with having cylinders bored, it's not so much a matter of the cost as of finding someone that really knows what they're doing and will do the work properly and make a good job of it (like using torque plates on cylinders). On the NRHS website it says: Accurate and precise case boring is critical to the success of your big bore project! NRHS has extensive experience in this specialized procedure and will bore your cases on a state-of-the-art CNC machine for unsurpassed precision and quality. They charge $275, so over here it could be £158?
