Re: misfire

i had the same prob on my sporty, but the fault was the airfilter needing to be re oiled.
i thought it was the electrics at first and i was told to put vaseline on all the plug lead ends. worth a try maybe?
try searching under misfire as there is loads of stuff on here somewhere.

the problem is where the coil is mounted under the front of the tank like that, not the best idea I've ever seen.
all the weather just hits it full on.
other than using some propriety sealer, you might consider moving the coil?

Re: misfire

totally agree re the covers. Even the chrome COIL cover on mine bit into the coil and caused a short.

chrome bits are a liability if you ask me!

Also, check your BATTERY EARTH is tight......and the positive while you are there. It is surprising how the little things catch ya.
