Seat?

Went to Dorking 9/4 looking for a seat and found a nice one however it appears in my eagerness to buy a bargin it does fit my 2001 bike. I've looked in the manual/parts book and can not cross reference the number shown on the underside.
It has Sportster since 1957 on the back part. My old seat has a plate at the front whcih then hooks under the tab between the frame spars above oil tank/battery area. The new saddle has a bracket which goes up the front part of the saddle and currently hits the back of the tank.
Is the seat I got for the current rubber engine mounted Sportsters?

That is a 1200 Custom rubber mount seat and will only fit a rubber mount model '04 on with the larger 17 Ltr tank.
Models with the smaller tank fitted have a different seat.

The 883 custom seat is the same but just does not have the writing on the back.

Should be #51530-04

It might well also have a 'made on' date sticker on the base too.
