Hi Swampig Remove the small round cover above the gear lever. You should have between 3/8 - 1/2 inch (9.9 - 12.7 mm) play at tightest point when the engine is cold. 1/4 - 3/8 inch (6.3 - 9.5 mm) when the engine is hot. To adjust the tension on the bottom of the chaincase about half way along is a stud and locknut. Undo the nut and adjust the stud inward to tighten, outward to loosen the tension. The locknut is torqued to 20-25 ft-lbs according to the manual. Alan B |
