Re: stage 1-the harley tax!

My missus has Stage 1/SE11 slip ons on her sporty - no problem at all at the MOT, the guy I talked to said that the exhaust noise was 'discretionary' - so take it along to the stealer or the indie and you should be o.k......

Supertrapp 2into1 ? You can adjust the number of diffuser discs to suit your eardrums.Only trouble is they're damned expensive and personally I hate the look of a 2into1
You must have been unlucky picking up 2 warnings.I've used shorty duals,Samson shotguns and currently D+G's (very loud).I've travelled all over the place including France , Spain and Portugal and am yet to raise an eyebrow.

Re: stage 1-the harley tax!

Hmm, it sems that i may go for the V+H slip on mufflers with the baffles. Picked bike up today, have done 140 miles, it seems too quiet. Off to north wales for a run tomorrow hope to put another 200 miles on. I need to have it run in and have the 1000mile service done before the end of july, ready for a tour of Scotland.
Thanks to everyone for their comments.
