Piston Broke

Well, finally got round to sorting the Sportster Missfire/Blown headgasket. After probs on RFL
First remove tank notice coil lead broken (haha got ya) One down to go .
Next take front head off.

huh! that don't look right .

Part of top ring & piston missing .No damage to bore, bits gone out through exhaust .Had Tony @ AA check them over, everything Aok.
New piston and rings ordered.Back on the road next week;).
Bike('88 xlh1200) done 65K original piston & bore mistery as to why it happened? Any thoughts.

Can I borrow this image as I feel that in some S American country there is an image hidden on your piston crown that resembles some religous icon and I can make pennies out of it
