Screamin' Eagle air cleaner for '04 up models.

I've seen on another website numerous comments about the SE (apparently its not a K+N ) air filter being defective, ie; getting extra holes appearing in it. Has anyone any experience of this? In light of these comments I'm now considering doing without the SE a/c kit when I get the stage 1 fitted and instead just fitting a K+N replacement filter in the standard air filter box. I think the K+N part number is HD-3884 but not certain. Where can I buy one?

It's not just the holes in the filter (which is supposed to be fixed now with a new version), a lot of people have found that the plastic backplate has warped. An alternative that doesn't cost too much is to use the RevTech Hop-Up kit (replaces the old 29008-90A which is no longer available). This is meant for a BT, and you can use any BT round cover you like. Here's what you need.

You could use the cover shown, or one of the nostalgic covers 29136-91 or 29138-91 (not sure what the difference is, but SalTheWop used the 29136-91), or any H-D or aftermarket round cover for a BT.
