rear brake pivot

hi all,has anyone had problems with the pin that goes through the L-shape pivot that conects the rear master cylinder to brake rod,as mine has failed the mot on too much play.my bike is a 04 sporster with 12k under it's wheels
which hardley any mile at all and i'm suprised it's worn out already.
