V H Straight Shots

Anybody running with Vance and Hines straight shots? Are they any good?

Will they pass the MOT or will I have to swap back to the std HDs each year?

Thinking of fitting some to my 2003 sporty.

Not running V&H, but have got AR Harley Hotrods.
I have found it depends on where you take it for the MOT

There are "friendly" and unfriendly" MOT testers for want of a better term. For the friendly ones the crucial question seems to be wheter the pipes have "Not for road use " stamped on them. Ask some local lads they will know the score

I may have sent this tread in a wrong direction. I'm not too bothered about the MOT.
Real question is what are V+H like, is the quality of product OK or is it don't go near?

Re: V H Straight Shots

The V&H slip-ons look very nice. I was very close to ordering some for my '07 883 until I realised I'd need the £250 Fuelpak and £120 air filter on top of the £200 for the pipes. Add to that the fact that I don't know a header pipe from a drain pipe and I'm having a rethink.

I've got the V&H Slipons on my Sporty, quality is very good and you can swap the baffles if required.

I have the quite ones in, not that quite!
