HD SE Street Performance mufflers

Thanks all for the advice, and thanks very much to Hobbit for the kind offer. I don't want to start any bitterness, especially from HOG Maniac who one day I would like to ask to clean my bike

However I am exceptionally poor now and all offers of spare exhaust pipes, food or old clothing would be gratefully accepted. Please PM me any offers and I will reply when I have another 50p for the electric meter.

Street performance mufflers should be fine without any mods. If you want to put on a high flow air cleaner with those mufflers all you should need is a dealer download for a lot cheaper than an add on device.

I've noticed a lot of talk of dealer downloads on the American forums, but I'd be surprised if Harley would provide a download in the UK for a US-only product. I'll email the dealer later.

I agree with what has been said som far, although I have gone for PCIII, the '07 SEs and SE air cleaner to complete stage one. Again, as mentioned many times in previous threads, it is the case pf how loud you also want them pipes to be. Where I live SEs is a good option, whereas the V&Hs would have been too loud (and I think they are not the loudest). Choise is difficult nowadays with so many options in the market.

I just called my dealer and basically said "If I source these mufflers from the States, what do I need to do here? A new EFI download? A fueler?". His reply was "You don't get downloads anymore. They don't exist. I would guess you could just stick those slip-ons on and off you go. If you don't change the air cleaner and the mufflers are street legal, you won't gain any performance and you shouldn't need to change anything. That's my guess".

Thats cruel .......I got some V&H straight shot slipons in a deal (fuel pack and s/e filter) for my 1200N but the D&D look perfect for my bike.........got to go and see how much overtime I've got to put in now .
