Fork Brace Recommendations ?

Anybody got any suggestions (other than the obvious HD/SE options) ?

Ideally I'd prefer black to chrome (as always) - there are some good value universal types but I think the 39mm size tubes on a Sportster make most of these unsuitable.

Any thoughts ?

Re: Fork Brace Recommendations ?

I have an aluminium one I got from the states about a year ago, I will have to have a good dig around to find the receipt as I can't remember where I ordered it from. It fitted perfectly and is a great job. I think I saw it advertised in American Iron magazine. If I get the info, will put it on line. Dave

Re: Fork Brace Recommendations ?

I've got a Superbrace fitted in black. I think it's the business! Not cheap though............

Sportster (XL883) 39mm 1988-2008, Harley Davidson - SuperBrace - The Ultimate Fork Stabilizer

I bought mine direct from Superbrace although this wasn't the smoothest transaction I've ever done. They first said they had sent it when in fact they hadn't! So 3 weeks and many phone calls later they sent it again and this time it was posted! Had to pay about £13 duty on it.

TeleFix, they make or at least used to the H-D Screaming Eagle ones.

I got mine for my FXR from M & P, identical to the H-D one, even stamped Screaming Eagle but black powder coated not chrome half the price.

I've got a brand new SE black one if you're interested. Bought it years ago for my old '90 sporty but never used it. It's still in the box.
