Re: Bigger fuel tank

Ah yes Flame that looks cool
It always makes me laugh when you hear the expression UK gallons & USA gallons those yanks think everything they have is bigger than ours. I bet the liquid gallon was a British invention anyway they just nicked it & exaggerated it hhmmmm that just about sums them up eh
Im gonna look for a 'Porkster' on ebay for my Sportie

Regrind I don't know if I am misreading you but the Yank gallon is the small one. Ours is the big one.

Just do a search on Google there's stacks of 3 1/2 gallon plus tanks for sale, for example:- J&P Cycles - Motorcycle exhausts, seats, mirrors, and more or search the same shop for "King Tank" over 4 gallons,- looks standard thats cool.
Great minds tank alike eh Kev

Thanks kevin il look into it
Looks like a good move Regrind. Too much tank can be as much of a problem as too little at times. Petrol is heavy and an oversized tank puts a lot of weight up high. The 6-gallon tanks that Kev and I favour on our BigTwins give around 4 stone of fuel sloshing around between the knees when freshly filled ..... that's a lot of up-high weight.

Phil.
