Re: Sporty Questions

My fork legs are already black (nightster) and they are pitting. Waiting for Chester HD to sort it.

Re: Sporty Questions

Harleys just don't like the winter unless you a polish it and clean it daily or B spray it in a protect ant and change it regularly over the winter.

Re: Sporty Questions

I commute on my 2002 883/1200R everyday.

Cosmetically it isn't holding up - the chrome and alloy is tarnished and the paint finish is crap and is starting to rust. If that bothers you - don't commute on a Harley.

On the other hand whilst I certainly can't be arsed to was my bike every day (or week) I religiously look after routine maintenance - especially oil changes.

As a result I have every confidence that the bike will last for many years - (I've only had three bikes in the past 20 years so I expect a lot from them but they all ended up matt black!).

It's a cliche but chrome really won't get you home - and having the bike a bit tatty with a few improvised repairs is now considered cool and 'old skool'.

Anyway that's my excuse
