| Hello All Took 'er indoors out for a spin first time round last night. Fun was had by all, but I found the rear shocks bottoming out occasionally, and she is only tiny!!?? ![]() I have made a search here, and found references to Hagon and Progressive. What is better? If going for Hagon (101.50 for the standard set) would it be worth going for adjustable dampening as well? If going for the Progressive, how do I decide which to choose? - so many models - which will be good for single AND pillion use? Cheers ![]() |

| Re: What shocks good for a pillion?? Chaz, have you got them adjusted correctly because my old Sporty never bottomed out with me and our lass on board. Our collective weight was about 24 stone then so, unless your lass is a proper podger your std shocks should be well up to it. I'm sure I have a fork adjustment wrench kicking about somewhere - let me know if you want it.

| Re: What shocks good for a pillion?? Yeah adjust them to mid range or (if ur of the slightly bigger frame) for us chunkers set em to hard. Theres a stepped collet at the lower end of the shocks, use a 'C' spanner to move it round to desired setting. If it still bottoms out then you need to replace both shocks. Best of luck ![]()

| Re: What shocks good for a pillion?? ![]() I had to laugh at that phrase ![]() Naa - she is tiny - probably less than 50 kg. It would be usefull to use your fork adjustment wrench sometime. Perhaps next week when there is a bit of clear sky and we do a run? Later Last edited by AgingHippy; 18-07-2008 at 05:27 PM. Reason: fix tags so quote displays correctly |
