Very Quick Question

I have done a search and have checked my manual but can't get a straight forward answer to this query.

On my 2004 1200 R I have a little fuel tank image on my speedo, is this meant to come on when fuel is low or is it just redundant?

Thank you

Re: Very Quick Question

that's what I thought, on the couple of occasions that I have got to reserve the engine just starts to splutter then cut out, then i turn the fuel tap to reserve, no light comes on.

Re: Very Quick Question

The 2004 and later sporties have this light that can just be seen under some conditions but it is non operational. This speedo is used on other bikes. The light is not used on Sportster's until they got fuel injection in 2007.

Set to total mileage. Then press and hold in the reset button. After a few seconds the miles become kilometers or the reverse.
